We provide the area most exciting and popular ballroom dancesport program for youth and adults. After a few months of hard work Sizzling Latin kids and adults are wining championships. We are offering excellent training taught by the highest qualified trainers, registered by the World Dance Council and the National Dance Council of America.
There are five big international, and 5-6 regional level competitions in the San Fransisco Bay Area, where Sizzling Latin students are earning first place awards. Students after a year of hard work can enter to the US national championships, and later on the world championships. Some Sizzling Latin groups are preparing for the youth Olympic games too.
We have wide range of dance program to suit all individual needs; from learning how to dance to studying for a certificate or degree teaching dance.

Pro/Am dancing for youth and adults:
Hire a professional dancer to train with during private lessons and showcase your talent with your instructor in dance competitions, where you can invite your friends and family to cheer you and enjoy your performance.
It is similar to Dancing with the Stars, but in this case You are the Star. This is the fastest way to improve your skills.
Sizzling Latin is directed by Timea Potys
Timea Potys was born in Budapest, Hungary. Currently is a world class professional dance coach, performer and choreographer. She is a Professional Latin Rising Star Finalist and Open Professional Latin finalist representing the US in the biggest competitions all over the world.
She started as a gymnast at the age of 4, followed by several years of training in jazz dance, ballet, funky, belly dance, acrobatic floor exercise, trampoline jumping and modern before she started the long journey into the Latin Ballroom dancing world. She had been playing piano and performing for 15 years and she also has a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering as her hobby.
She trains competitive dancers. Teach private and group Latin ballroom dance lessons. Teaching dance technique, choreography, musicality, coordination, flexibility. Provide mental and physical training. Train competitor dancers and dance teams to win competitions. Coach head teachers, team captains and group leaders to reach their goals in the upcoming competition season and help them in their preparation in between the seasons. Create plans and execute them with the students.
She is the Latin coaches for the UC Berkeley and UC Santa Cruz Ballroom Teams. She also teaches group and private classes for adults and kids in the following styles: International Latin (Samba, Chacha, Rumba, Paso doble, Jive) social and fitness classes (Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Reggaeton, Zumba).
With her 15 years of dance teaching experience, she mainly coaches successful competitor couples from beginner level to the top, but the students find her teaching very inspirational also in fun social class settings.
Her students not only place very well in competitions, they also see big improvements in qualities of life as a result of feeling whole from dancing.
Timea has also performed in numerous shows in many cities around the world and she is available to perform with her partner at corporate events, private parties and weddings.
Her favorite motto is: “Anything is possible!”
Timea‘s professional dance partner is Zsolt Katona from Budapest, Hungary. Zsolt takes everything very seriously in his life, especially his dancing. He enjoys dancing to many different kind of rhythms, and emphasizes each part of the song with body movement.
Besides dancing he sings opera and plays the piano. If he has a little free time he is up in the air by himself, as he is also a pilot.
He is incredibly focused on everything he does, allowing him to be successful in every area of his life.
